INSPIRATION: Walt Grady shared a perspective of Love and Fear from Elizabeth Kubler Ross. He also shared a poem about fear and that ‘to be back is impossible’ with an analogy of a river flowing into the ocean. Walt challenged us to embrace our fear and make the world a better place.

ROTARY YOUTH LEADERSHIP AWARDS (RYLA)
- Ron C. shared that Rotary pays and organizes the Young RYLA (YRYLA) – going into 7th or 8th grade and RYLA participants – Junior or Senior year to spend a week at the YMCA camp of the Rockies
- Ron’s favorite part of the week revolves around the de-brief after each activity. He likes to see the participants response to “How do we use this in real life?”.
- And finally, Ron asked our Club to get involved by spreading the word on this amazing opportunity for our Youth. The students do not need to live in Fort Collins to participate.

- Phil M wanted to thank Mike G for all of his help at the end of the Peach Pickup Day; Phil is glad that Fundraising season is over. On 8/23 – Phil and Sara celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary; And Phil had his 3rd hole in one at Collindale golf course
- Joe is excited to be traveling to France and Italy on vacation
- Mary Catherine shared an opportunity for flower picking at Bird Song Farms on Tuesday, 9/2 or Wednesday, 9/3 at 8:30 am. Bring a 5 gallon bucket, scissors, and $20.00 and pick away at the flowers.
- Mike G provided a heartfelt thanks to Ron C for all the work he does for RYLA/YRYLA and to the Peach Pick up delivery team for their hard work. He also congratulated Phil on his hole in one!
