Rotary Sells Peaches for Dictionaries
Rotary Sells Peaches for Dictionaries
Fort Collins, Colorado. July5, 2015 – The 2015 Annual Rotary Peach Sale is here! Every year for the past 12 years
the Fort Collins Breakfast Rotary Club has brought over 45,000 pounds of peaches to Fort Collins in its
quest to give a dictionary to every 3rd grader at both public, private, charter, and home schools in the Poudre
School District. In total they have distributed over 18,000 of these keepsake dictionaries thanks to this event.
This year the 20 pound boxes of ‘Grade A’ Palisade, Colorado peaches are available for $39 per box. Every box
sold buys one dictionary. Excess funds will be used for literacy projects and other club projects. If you don’t
enjoy delicious Palisade, Colorado peaches, you can choose to donate $10 to buy a dictionary. You can even
donate your boxes of peaches to the Food Bank for Larimer County.
To order your peaches visit RotaryPeachSale.com or call 970-460-6481 by August 15th. The peaches will be
available for pickup on August 22nd at Hughes Stadium between 9am and 1:30pm. The pickup will be on the
south side of Hughes Stadium with entry from the road to Dixon Lake (CR 42C). By making this delicious
investment in the future of our community, you will get the Fort Collins Breakfast Rotary Club closer to their
goal of 2,300 boxes of peaches for 2015. This year’s major sponsors are The Coloradoan, TRI-
102.5/Townsquare Media, Learning Express Toys, and Overland Sertoma Club.
Also mark your calendar for the Peach Festival on August 22nd at Hughes Stadium. The festival includes a 5K
run/walk, live music, contests and entertainment throughout the day. The Peach Festival is presented by the
Rotary Clubs of Fort Collins. Parking is $5, but if you have pre-ordered a box of peaches parking is FREE!
