Our Club’s International Service Committee received a request from Feed The World for funds that would go toward the purchase of wood-burning stoves for families and shelters in the Ukraine. With the on-going war against Russia, gas supplies have been cut-off or severely dwindled and wood stoves can provide much needed heat and assist with meal preparation.This cry for help was heard and acted upon by our Club. At its November meeting, our Club’s International Service Committee voted to award Feed The World with $3,000 that will provide 15 wood-burning stoves for use by families and shelters in Ukraine.
