Club History

Rotary Club of Fort Collins Breakfast is 35 years strong!

The roots of Rotary Club of Fort Collins Breakfast trace to three individuals who wanted to organize a Rotary club in Fort Collins that met before the business day began. These three men also knew individuals interested in joining Rotary but had not done so due to either the meeting times or size limitations of the other two Rotary clubs already established in Fort Collins.

After a year of planning and meeting, the new organization was chartered in 1989 at Rotary Club of Fort Collins Breakfast. The organization’s 26 Charter Members were a diverse, boots-on-the-ground group who had big dreams, bold plans and a thoroughly thought-out plan of action. They identified a need locally or internationally and worked to fill that need.

While Fort Collins Breakfast rotary has grown significantly, our Club has always remained true to its roots and Rotary’s mission to provide service to others, promote integrity and advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through our fellowship of business, professional and community leaders.

Three of the Club’s 26 Charter Members remain active members of our Fort Collins Breakfast Rotary today: John Carroll, Mark Korb and Tom Welsh.
