The Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) program offers high school students the opportunity to spend a year living in a foreign country—to experience a new culture, learn a new language and serve as ambassadors for their communities.
Fort Collins Breakfast Rotary sponsors a student to live abroad for a year as well as provides homes for RYE students from other countries. Our Club recently supported a high school student who spent a year in Italy, and is currently hosting a student from Argentina.
RYE gives participants the opportunity to. . .
- Immerse themselves in a new culture and language
- Develop a global perspective on issues and service
- Create lifelong friendships across borders
- Grow personally through independence and adaptation
If you know a student who would like to spend a year abroad by participating in RYE, please contact Steve James at sjames@jub.com
